“Me too!” – Joe’s sister
Maya’s Math started as a side project with my 8 year old daughter Maya. I was tutoring a group of kids at Maya’s school and found that they struggled with multiplication. Learning multiplication requires a lot of practice and the kids wanted something fun to practice with. Maya suggested we build an app that they could use to practice and compete against each other.
We soon wrote the very first version of Maya’s Math. Maya’s classmates provided lots of design feedback. They loved using it in school. As summer approached the kids asked if we could put it in the App Store so that they could play at home. We polished it and put it in the store as a free app. Now it’s available to everyone. We hope that Maya’s Math will be useful to other parents and kids. Maya’s crushing her multiplication these days and I’ve gotten a lot faster too :)
